Frequently Asked Questions

Input: JPEG, PNG, WebP, BMP, and GIF. Export output: PNG, JPEG, or WebP. GIF and BMP are decoded into a static frame for editing — GIF animation is not preserved. If you need to keep transparency, export as PNG or WebP; JPEG does not support transparency and will render transparent areas as white.

Five filters are available, all applied via CSS filter properties: Vintage — reduces saturation and adds a warm yellow-brown tone to mimic aged film. Sepia — converts the image to a brownish monochrome, similar to old photographs. Black & White — desaturates the image completely using grayscale filter. Cool — shifts the color balance toward blue tones, giving a cold, cinematic look. Warm — shifts toward orange-red tones, ideal for golden-hour or cozy vibes. Filters can be combined with brightness, contrast, and saturation adjustments for further customization.

Brightness: moves all pixel values up (lighter) or down (darker) uniformly. A very dark photo shot indoors often needs +20 to +40 brightness. Contrast: increases or decreases the difference between light and dark areas. Low contrast looks flat and washed out; high contrast looks punchy with deep shadows and bright highlights. Saturation: controls color intensity. 0% gives black and white; 100% is original; above 100% makes colors more vivid. Tip: underexposed photos benefit from brightness first, then contrast. Flat-looking photos often just need more contrast and saturation.

Yes. Enter your text, choose a font family (sans-serif, serif, monospace, or decorative options), set the font size in pixels, and pick a color using the color picker. Click "Add Text" and the text appears as a draggable overlay on the photo. Drag it to the desired position. You can add multiple text layers. The text is rendered onto the canvas at export time — it becomes part of the image pixels, not a separate layer in the output file.

Yes. The Add Emoji option lets you pick emoji characters and place them as overlays, draggable and resizable. The Add Image option lets you upload a separate image (like a logo, watermark, or sticker PNG) and place it over the photo. Both overlays can be moved by dragging, and their size and rotation can be adjusted with the overlay controls. Layer order can be changed with the Up/Down layer controls, useful when overlaps occur.

10MB per photo. Files above 10MB may still work in modern browsers with enough RAM, but performance can degrade for very large images because the Canvas API must hold the entire bitmap in memory. For high-resolution photos (24MP+), consider resizing to a reasonable display size (e.g., 2000px wide) with the Image Resize tool before editing if the editor feels sluggish.

The Reset button returns the photo to its original state in one click, reverting all adjustments (brightness, contrast, saturation, filters, rotation). Individual undo/redo buttons (when available) let you step backward and forward through edit history. Overlays (text, emoji, image) can be removed individually. If you want to experiment without risk, make your edits and compare to the original — you can always reset and start fresh.

No. All editing, filtering, and export happens in your browser using the HTML5 Canvas API and CSS filters. Your photos never leave your device. This applies to the upload (FileReader API), the editing (Canvas pixel manipulation), and the download (canvas.toBlob()). Safe for personal photos, sensitive images, and client work.

Quick Edits Without Opening Photoshop

Quick brightness adjustment without opening Photoshop? That is exactly what this editor is for. Tweak brightness, contrast, and saturation with sliders, apply a filter, and export. The whole thing takes seconds, not minutes.

Filters, Text, and Overlays Built In

Vintage, sepia, black and white, warm, cool, pick a mood and apply it instantly. Add text with custom font, size, and color, or drop in emojis and images. Drag to position, export when it looks right.

Crop and Rotate in One Place

Straighten a tilted shot with one click. Crop to 16:9 for a YouTube thumbnail or 1:1 for Instagram. Everything you need for a quick fix lives in a single tool, no switching between apps.

Privacy by Design

Your photos never leave your device. The editor runs entirely on the HTML5 Canvas API inside your browser. No uploads, no accounts, no server-side processing. Safe for personal photos, work documents, and anything you would rather keep private.
