Soalan Lazim

Markdown ialah bahasa penanda ringan yang dicipta oleh John Gruber pada 2004 yang membolehkan anda menulis teks biasa yang ditukar kepada HTML. Baris yang bermula dengan # menjadi <h1>, **teks** menjadi tebal, dan *teks* menjadi condong. Kerana ia dibaca secara semula jadi sebagai teks biasa dan menghasilkan HTML yang bersih, ia menjadi standard untuk fail README, dokumentasi, forum seperti Reddit dan Stack Overflow, dan aplikasi pengambilan nota.

CommonMark ialah spesifikasi yang ketat dan tidak samar-samar untuk Markdown yang menyelesaikan ketidakkonsistenan bertahun-tahun antara pelaksanaan. GitHub Flavored Markdown (GFM) memperluaskan CommonMark dengan senarai tugas (- [ ] / - [x]), jadual, teks bergarisan (~~teks~~), dan pautan automatik. Kebanyakan platform pembangun — GitHub, GitLab, VS Code — menggunakan GFM.

Baris kosong mencipta perenggan baharu. Untuk baris baharu dalam perenggan tanpa memulakan yang baharu, tamatkan baris dengan dua atau lebih ruang sebelum menekan Enter. Sebagai alternatif, sesetengah penghurai menerima garis serong ke belakang \ di hujung baris. Pendekatan paling selamat merentas platform ialah menggunakan baris kosong untuk pemisah perenggan dan tag HTML <br> untuk pemisah di tengah perenggan.
